Environmental awareness

Hello, my name is Jean-Charles Vinaj, I am a professional photographer in the Principality of Monaco and President of the Association "LIVE TOGETHER".

I undertook for three years long project of photo-journalism to testify different forms of relationship Human-Animal. I visited 14 countries to met with over twenty species best illustrating the existing interactions.

The outcome of this long project was officially presented on November 20, 2018 in the Principality of Monaco, through a photo exhibition and a book in partnership with the Prince Albert II Foundation and EFG BANK Monaco.

During these three years, I met exceptional people, from scientists to biologists or simply local actors. They are all passionate people working for the preservation of their country's emblematic species, which for the most are in a critical situation.

The commitment of these men and women is unconditional, genuine and free from any financial interests. Unfortunately their means are limited as their government supports them only partially. They therefore rely mostly on relatively modest private initiatives and donations.

In the light of this and in the continuity of my work, I decided to create the association "Live Together", based in the Principality of Monaco, whose main mission is to help financially or materially support the people working on the ground in order to aim for the most harmonious coexistence between men and animals.

Today thanks to our 1st members and generous donors we support 2 projects, one in Namibia (Namib Desert Lions), the other in Costa Rica (Lora Tortoise).

Many other projects will hopefully follow, such as the Great Gorillas Plains DRC, the Jaguar in Brazil, the Elephants of Mount Kenya and many more.

But Live Together wants to convey a fundamental message for global environmental awareness.

Our biodiversity is in danger, mass tourism, agro-food industry, poaching, hunting trophies are making the cohabitation very complicated.

Therefore, the Board of Directors of the association decided to undertake the realisation of several reports, in order to show to the World, the disastrous effects and the consequences of the actions carried out by the Hand of the Man.

But we believe this is not enough, we are convinced that a better future lies inevitably in constantly educating and making younger generations more aware. We need to awaken an ecological awareness at an early age so that they become responsible citizens, capable of changing things.

We appeal to you today as we would like, above all, to make you aware of the seriousness of the situation and to convince you that each of us in his zone of influence can bring an enormous support to this Human / Animal cohabitation.
